BARBARA POPE –

Barbara Taylor Pope, age 71, of Columbus, MS , passed away February 28, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services will be Sunday, March 1, 2020, at 3:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel 716 2 ^nd Ave. North location with Rev. Ed Knox officiating and Rev. Byron Benson assisting.  The interment will immediately follow at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

Mrs. Pope was born December 27, 1948, in Columbus, MS, to the late Chuck and Alyne Watson Taylor.  She was a graduate of Caledonia High School and member of East End Baptist Church.  Mrs. Pope was a real estate agent for almost 50 years and was broker and owner of Southern Family & Association Realty.  She was a member of the Golden Triangle Association of Realtors.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Pope, and brothers, L. C. Taylor and Dennis Taylor.

Survivors include her son, John Taylor and his wife Jamie of Columbus, MS, sister, Rita Foley and her husband Leon of Olive Branch, MS, and grandchildren, Jordan Alexis Taylor and Joshua Andrew Taylor of Columbus, MS.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Watson, Max Watson, Kelsey Taylor, Joshua Taylor, Daniel Foley and Kyle Foley.
