ANN GOLSON

Ann Golson age 78 died Friday July 15, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Tuesday July 19 ,2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Luke Lawson officiating; burial will follow at Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Maben. Visitation will be held Tuesday one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Golson was born on Friday, August 05, 1943, in Maben, MS to the late Raymond and Sarah Montgomery Thompson.

She enjoyed a life well lived, spending time gardening, loving her children and grandchildren, and adoring Baby, her faithful feline companion for the last 10 years. Once completing her degree at Wood Junior College, she practiced bookkeeping until the decision was made to start a family. Primarily a homemaker thereafter, she would often use her seamstress skills for the public. Her later years centered around her grandchildren. She celebrated birthdays, accomplishments, and graduations with enthusiasm. Never one to back down from a challenge, she braved this final chapter in her life with gumption and determination. However, she and God decided on a different ending, quietly leaving this earth surrounded by those who loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Curtis Golson, Sr., and several siblings.

Daughter: Charlotte Golson Cleveland (Michael)

Son: Charlie Golson (Angel)

Grandchildren: Matthew McClure, Caitlyn McClure, Carter Golson, Cole Golson, & Charlotte Golson
