Al Comer

Alvin Coston "Al" Comer, age 65, of Columbus, MS, passed away July 16, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  Graveside services will be Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mr. Comer was born July 5th 1958, in Columbus, MS., to the late Thomas  Glenn Comer Sr. and  Annie  Laura Comer.

He worked at Columbus Meat Company, Industrial Electric & Supply, and Old Hickory Steak House.  Al enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with his many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jerry Comer.

He is survived by his son, Jon, and daughter-in-law Kelley and granddaughter Charlotte, and his brother, Thomas Glenn (Bubba) Comer, and his three nephews Geoffrey, Josh, and Caden Comer.

The family would like thank Dr. Michael Robinson, Dr. Torrance Green, and Chad Elmore, RN for their compassionate care.
