Bobby Thomas Lindsey, age 63, of Artesia, MS, passed away January 28, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jammie Turner officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Artesia. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Lindsey was born February 8, 1948, in Starkville, MS, to the late George and Hulda Munts Lindsey. He was an honor graduate of Starkville High School and received his degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University in 1971. Beginning in 1972, he held various distinguished positions with Gulf States Manufacturers in Starkville. His current title was Manager of Special Projects. An avid bulldog fan, he was a member of the MSU Alumni Association, Bulldog, Quarterback, and Dugout Clubs. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Ann. He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Virginia "Bitty" Lindsey of Artesia, MS, son, Foster Lindsey of New Hope, MS, and granddaughters, Alexa Lindsey of Saltillo, MS, and Devin Grace Lindsey of New Hope, MS. Pallbearers will be Michael Anderson, Roger Shivers, Ronnie Hartness, Phil Hartness, Floyd Patterson, and Buddy Laird. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Artesia Cemetery, P.O.
