ELVIS FAULKNER Elvis Ernestine Faulkner age 88 died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her residence in Columbus. Services will be held Monday, July 22, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Thomas officiating, burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. Monday at Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Detroit, AL. Visitation will held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mrs. Faulkner was born on Friday, April 17, 1925 in Amory, MS to the late Jett and Ellie James Adams Roberts. She grew up in the Splunge Community of Monroe County. She completed cosmetology school at Vaughns Beauty College in 1957, and was a beautician for 40 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Faulkner. Survivors include: One Daughter: Sandra Boone, Columbus, MS Two Sons: Dempsey Faulkner (Shirley), Columbus, MS Rodney Faulkner, Gulfport, MS One Brother: Winford Roberts (Nell), Hatley, MS Eight Grandchildren: Todd Dyer (Sherry) Yancey Dyer T.J.
