HOUSTON T. MONTGOMERY Houston Thomas Montgomery age 87 died Monday, July 29, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Thursday, August 01, 2013 at 2:00 PM at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jearl Hunley officiating, burial with Military Honors will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Montgomery was born on Thursday, December 03, 1925 in Birmingham, AL. His parents were the late Houston Henry and Era Celeste Montgomery. He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a WWII Veteran having served in the U.S. Army from 1944 til 1946. He was a carpenter by trade and worked for DS McClanahan and Sons for over 30 years. This employment included many years at Kerr McGee in Hamilton.
