Chris Smith Columbus, Mississippi - Chris Smith, 18, died Sunday, July 10, 2005, at Montpelier, Mississippi in Clay County, Mississippi. Chris was born March 12, 1987, in Amory, MS, the son of Jeffrey Glen and Karen Ann Klug Smith. He was a member of River of Life Community Church, but attended First Assembly of God in Columbus, MS. He was a 2005 Graduate of Caledonia High School in Caledonia, MS. While at Caledonia High School, he was a member of the football team, marching band, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and BETA Club. He was a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard. He was a member of the Promise Keepers. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved sports. He enjoyed drama and acting. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 14, 2005, at 10:00 AM from River of Life Community Church with the Pastor Randle Thompson officiating with Mr. Shane Cruse and Mr. Kelley Thompson assisting. Visitation will be Wednesday 6:00-9:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home and Thursday, July 14, 2005, from 9:00-10:00 AM at River of Life Community Church. Memorial Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
