Mary Elizabeth Proffitt Columbus Mississippi - Mary Elizabeth Proffitt 95 died September 3, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle,Columbus MS. Mrs. Proffitt was born on February 23, 1910 in Lowndes County to the late James Ambrose and Alice Thomas McCrary. She was a member of First Baptist Church Columbus, a homemaker and a member of the Homemakers Club of Columbus. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Proffitt. Funeral services will be Sunday September 4, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. Graveside at Friendship Cemetery with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Memorial Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include her Son: Bob Proffitt (Elizabeth) of Columbus MS, Grandchildren: 2 Great Grandchildren: 4 and a number of nieces and nephews, Brother: Thomas McCrary of Columbus MS. Memorials may be made to Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi 16 Northdown Dr. Jackson MS 39211.
