Mrs. Martha Fay (Pope) Shaw, age 68, of Columbus, Miss., died Thursday, January 18, 2007, at her sons residence in Vina, Ala. Visitation is Saturday January 20, 2007 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Services are Sunday January 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Living Faith Tabernacle Church with Bro. James Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Living Faith Tabernacle Cemetery. Mrs. Shaw was born on October 14, 1938 in Marion County Alabama to the late Mills Edward Pope and Polly Anne Pope. She was a member of Living Faith Tabernacle Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Pope; sister, Ethlene Pope Sparks; son, Tommy Wayne Shaw; and grandson, Jerry Richards, and her first husband, Braxton Shaw. She is survived by her husband, D.T. Shaw; son, Kenny Shaw and his wife JoAnn of Vina, Ala.; Sister, Lillian Underwood; Four Brothers,Ray Pope, Junior Pope, Foy Pope, Willidie Pope; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Andy Deaton, Daniel Mitchell, Chris Kostelansky, Kenneth Shaw, David Richards, and Chris Underwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Sparks and James Sparks.
