Stepp of West Palm Beach, Florida and Margaret Melinda Stepp Buntyn of McDonough, Georgia. Amy was known to her friends as an elegant lady, a devout Christian who loved the Lord and began every day quoting Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it . Then she would offer the prayer: Lord, give me something to do for someone today. She dearly loved all of her family and was very proud of each and every one of them. She was at the heart of Main Street Presbyterian Church for 73 years joyfully and faithfully participating in worship, missions, outreach, prayer groups, Sunday School and the Women in Church ministries. She was filled with faith, hope and love believing that the Bible was to be our inspiration and guide, that Sundays were a day to honor God and bless your friends. Her radiant smile, inner strength and dignity, cheerful spirit, encouraging words, many letters and notes, kindness, helpfulness, and especially the myriad of prayers for others have been the source of many blessings for her family, friends, Columbus and our country. She was a wonderful neighbor, a friend to many, and a wonderful caregiver to everyone she knew. She was a devoted member of the Garden Club and the Sewing Circle. Amy majored in Home Economics with a minor in music graduating Magna Cum Laude from M.S.C.W. in 1934. She was the Coordinator for M.S.C.W.s student teachers working in local schools, and was very active with the Westminster House. She is survived by her sister Margaret Thomas Anderson of Bellevue, WA., 2 nieces, 4 nephews, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 13 great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her Church family, neighbors, and many friends. She is predeceased by her mother and dad, her husband, Dr. William Hatcher Stepp, and 2 sisters, Elizabeth Amis Thomas and Evelyn Thomas Patterson. She looked forward to being with her loved ones and Jesus in her heavenly home and on Wednesday heard her Lord commend her with the words Well done, good and faithful servantenter into the joy of the Lord. (Matthew 25:21). She was a beautiful lady and the world is a much more beautiful world because of her presence.
