Minnie Pearl Manasco Langford, age 87, of Caledonia, MS died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at her home in Caledonia. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday evening, February 4, 2011 6:00-8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home with Eddie Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The daughter of the late Abe and Rhoda Edwards Manasco, she was born February 23, 1923 in Fayette, AL. She was of the Baptist faith, but she also attended services at The Salvation Army. She loved to dance, especially the Charleston and cook for her large family. She was predeceased by her parents, a daughter Ruth Ann Langford, and her two sisters Geneva Evans and Earlie Mae Rector. She is survived by her husband of 65 years William Titum Langford of Caledonia, two sons William Earl Langford, Vernon, AL and Lonnie James Langford, Caledonia; seven daughters Mary Lando Nelson (Ed), Mulberry, IN, Norma Jean Langford, Bonnie Jean Cantrell (Allen Haynes) and Katina Marie McGee, all of Caledonia; Mary Jane Dunser, Columbus, Judy Diane Hendon (Lloyd), West Point, and Linda Pearl Langford (Kenny Jaynes), Ethelsville, and one brother Bobby Manasco, Columbus. She also survived by 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Alex McGee, Terry Taylor, Jr., Rodney Garrard, Allen Haynes, Michael Cantrell, Jr., Kenny Jaynes, William Clay Hall and Benny Eakin. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Robert Whitecar and his staff. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association of Mid-Mississippi 1900 Dunbarton St., Suite 1, Jackson, MS 39216.
