John G. Crigler John G. Crigler 71 died December 6, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle. Mr. Crigler was born in Columbus on October 9, 1934 to the late Thomas Harvey Crigler and Mary Belle Gilbert Crigler. He was a member of Columbus First United Methodist Church a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of the Columbus Exchange Club. He was a 1952 graduate of Lee High School and a graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in Business Administration. He was employed by the City of Columbus as the assistant secretary/treasure, building inspector, and retired as the tax collector registrar. After retirement he worked as a part-time baliff at the Lowndes County Courthouse. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one brother Thomas Harvey Crigler Jr. Memorial services will be Thursday December 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. from Memorial Chapel with the Dr. Sam Morris and by Dr. Walt Porter officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 until 8 at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife of 29 years Jane M. Crigler of Columbus MS, Daughter: Jenny Lawrence (Randy) of Columbus MS. Grandchildren: Elizabeth, Jonathan, and Matthew Lawrence and his mother Mary Belle Crigler. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church P.O. Box 32 Columbus MS 39703.
