Robert Allen "Bob" Swartz Age 90 died December 31, 2007 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS Services will be held at Broadacres United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Walt Porter and Rev. Ron Thomas Officiating Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at Broadacres United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 3, 2008 from 12:00 noon until service time. Mr. Swartz born on September 12, 1917 in Everest, Kansas to the late James Monroe and Tessie Sherrer Swartz. He was a member of Broadacres United Methodist Church and a WWII U.S. Coast Guard Veteran. He was a farmer and a cattleman at Sunflower Farms in Kansas and retired from the Lowndes County Co-op. He was a member of the Lions Club, Columbus Lodge #5, F&AM, and Scottish Rites Body. He was also a Shriner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Price Swartz, and his brother and sister-in-law Keith and Hazel Swartz. Survivors incude: Wife- Odlaug Otness Swartz, Columbus, Ms Son-Roger Swartz (Paulette) of Hattiesburg, Miss. Son-Dean Swartz of Columbus, Miss. Son-Larry Swartz (Debbie) of Columbus, Miss. Daughter-Margaret Mistilis (John) of Oxford, Miss. Daughter-Mary Evans of Tracy, Calif. Daughter-Marilyn Moore (O.T.) of Columbus, Miss.
