Eunice Adams Fuqua Eunice Adams Fuqua passed away March 20, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at First Baptist Church. Mrs. Fuqua was born April 23, 1920, to the late Samuel and Pearl Peden Adams in DeKalb, Mississippi. She attended East Mississippi Junior College and graduated from MSCW in 1942. She was a homemaker and longtime member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ira W. Fuqua, Sr.; her sisters, Maggie Harthcock, Ethel Richardson, Mabel Nichols; and her brothers, Chandler Adams, Stanley Adams, Novice (Bill) Adams, Jack Adams, Curtis Adams and Paul Adams. Survivors include her daughters, Judy Barnett and her husband Jim of Wichita, Kansas; Connie Blair and her husband Don of Memphis, Tennessee; Janice Ryals and her husband Gerald of Columbus; her son, Ira Fuqua, Jr. of Columbus; her grandchildren, Timothy Blair, Julie Blair, Tanner Ryals and Benjamin Ryals; her greatgrandchildren Christina Blair and Matthew Blair; and many greatly-loved nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Timothy Blair, Tanner Ryals, Benjamin Ryals, Mack Fuqua, Kenneth Saucier, Paul Fuqua, David Fuqua, John Fuqua and Jim Duke.
