Mrs. Lodessie Mae Stratton, Age 81, passed away February 12, 2007 at her residence in Columbus, MS. Visitation is at Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Serviceswill be at Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. John Gainer officiating. Burial will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery in Vernon,Al. Mrs. Stratton was born on March 10, 1925 in Vernon, Al to the late Dan Taylor and Avie McAdams. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She worked as a private nurse and was a cakemaker and decorator. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, J.D. Taylor, O.C. Taylor, James Daniel Taylor, Hubert Taylor, and A.D. McAdams. She is survived by her sons, James Bolin, Jr., Harold Bolin, Jerry Bolin, and Frank Murchie; brother, J.T. Taylor; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Philip Atkins, Charles Slayton, Chris Alexander, Doug Hill, Johnny Taylor, Leroy Thunderbird, Ryan Boykin, and Doug Thrasher. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr.Williams, Dr. Brown, Dr. Bush, John Laws, Jr. Poochie Laws, Myran Atkins, and Jimmy Bolin.
