John Floyd Doughty Age 94 died November 13, 2008 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko. Services with Masonic Rites will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM Dr. Shawn Parker will officiate. burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, November 16, 2008 from 12:30 PM til service time. Mr. Doughty was born on May 17, 1914 in Fayette County Alabama one of twelve children to the late Richard Earl and Sarah Williamson Doughty. He was a member of Columbus First Baptist Church, a Mason, a Shriner, a member of the local IBEW#349, and a U.S. Army WWII Veteran. He was a retired electrician and lived in Coral Gables Florida for 25 years before moving back to Mississippi in 1981. survivors include Wife-Mae Weathers Doughty of Columbus, Miss. Daughter-Nancy Magnani (Frank) of Miami, Fla. Daughter-Cindy Jernigan (Eddie) of Columbus, Miss. Son-John Doughty (Joyce) of Dry Creek, La. Brother-Buford Doughty of Columbus, Miss. 5 Grandchildren 8Great grandchildren Niece-Nieces. nephews, and friends The Pallbearers are -Richard Doughty -Charlie Holcomb -Billy Williamson -Floyd Hughes -Billy West -John Lamar Jernigan The Honorary Pallbearers are -Gerald Scallions -Frank Gilliam
