to me show details Nov 12 (2 days ago) DOROTHY LIPSEY Dorothy Bell Wright Lipsey, age 80, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 11, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Monday, November 14, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Ferguson officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will also be Monday, November 14, 2011, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Lipsey was born July 26, 1931, in Columbus, MS, to the late Robert Noel and Mildred Rish Wright. She was a lifelong resident of Columbus and graduate of S. D. Lee High School. Mrs. Lipsey was a lifelong member of First Christian Church and in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Y. Lipsey, son, Arthur Young Lipsey, Jr., and sister, Virginia Yeatman. Survivors include her sons, Jeff Lipsey of Columbus, MS, and Scott Lipsey of Starkville, MS, daughters, Patrice Palmer of Watkinsville, GA, and Lisa McNeil of Brookhaven, MS, brother, Robert Wright of Memphis, TN, sister, Bobbie Morgan, 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chuck Palmer, Prentiss Smith, Josh Frady, Johnny Rainer, Paar Colvin, and Danny Bohler. Memorials may be made to Palmer Home for Children, P.O. Box 746, Columbus, MS, 39703.
