DR. CHARLES O. STANBACK Dr. Charles Oliver Charlie Stanback age 83 died Monday, February 04, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Columbus. Services will be held Thursday, February 07, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Thomas officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home Wednesday, February 06, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Dr. Stanback was born on Sunday, April 28, 1929 in Byhalia, MS to the late William Presley and Josephine Walker Stanback. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Mississippi and continued his postgraduate work at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He started practicing medicine in Columbus, MS, in 1964 as a general practitioner and obstetrician. He was known as being very compassionate and dedicated to his patients throughout his entire career. Dr. Stanback was very active in Full Gospel Businessmens Fellowship, and he was very involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles William (Bubba) Stanback and his brother, Bill Stanback. Survivors include: His wife: Martha J.
