Bobby G. "Big Bob" Redmon, 69 of Columbus, MS died Saturday, October 24, 2009, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday , October 26, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Born Sunday, March 3, 1940 in Smithville TN , he was the son of the late Jessie and Ruby Hendrixson Redmon. He retired from McIntyre Plumbing after over 30 years of employment. During the later years at McIntyre Plumbuing, he drove the truck for the Port-to-John business. He loved to BarBeQue and volunteered his cooking expertise at the Possum Town Pigfest for many years. He was Baptist and loved being with his familly and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Fannie Wheeler Redmon, brothers Billy, Author, Edward Boyd and Carlon Redmon and a sister Alice Camasse. He is survived by his son, Allen Redmon (Deborah) of Medina, OH, brothers, Garland Redmon of Norton, OH, Eddie Redmon( Candy) of Rockford, IL and sisters, Shirley Phillips of Rockford, IL, Frankie Adkins and Gladys Sanders both of Machesney Park, IL and four grandchildren.
