LUCILLE POTTER Ruby Lucille Potter age 87 died Monday, September 21, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. Services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Yarber officiating, burial will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Artesia, MS. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Mrs. Potter was born on Monday, September 26, 1921 in Coker, AL to the late John and Rose Roberts. She lived most of her life in the Artesia Community of Lowndes County before moving to the Trinity Retirement Community. Mrs. Potter was a member of Artesia Baptist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur L. Potter Sr., two sisters, and four brothers. Survivors include: One Daughter: Shirley Russell (Buddy) New Augusta, MS Two Sons: Art Potter, Jr., Artesia, MS James Ray Potter (Maggie), Artesia, MS Three Brothers: Floyd Roberts, Coker, AL Joe Roberts (Frankie), Coker, AL Horace Roberts, Coker, AL The Pallbearers will be: Brent Potter, Artie Potter, Lee Russell, Lance Russell, Shawn Maxey, and Frank York The Honorary Pallbearers will be: Staff and Residents of Trinity Retirement Community, Members of Artesia Baptist Church
