Guy Lee Roy Taylor, age 61, of Columbus, MS, passed away October 3, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be Sunday, October 6, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with military honors. Visitation will be Saturday, October 5, 2013, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Taylor was born September 6, 1952, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Orville and Joyce Russell Taylor. He was a veteran of Vietnam and retired from the United States Army after 20 years and also served with the Army National Guard. Mr. Taylor also worked in computer repair, satellite installation, for the Columbus Police Department, and operated North Mississippi Uniform & Equipment. He attended Mt. Zion Bapitst Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Guy and Lorene Russell. Survivors include his wife, Marion Taylor of Columbus, MS, sons, Shawn M. Taylor and his wife Ralu of KY, Christopher L. Taylor and his wife Lindsey of Columbus, MS, and Carlos Adams of Atlanta, GA, daughters, Farrah Wilson and her husband Kenya of GA, and Sarah Taylor of Tuscaloosa, AL, brother, Conrad Taylor of Columbus, MS, sister, Beverly Hester of FL, and 6 grandchildren.
