Shirley M. Hildreth

Shirley Mae Hildreth age 93 died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus. Services will be held Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs.Hildreth was born on Saturday, December 18, 1915 in Winston County, AL to the late Claude Richard and Alpha Cantrell Fant. She was a member of First Baptist Church Columbus and a retired employee of Bosch Industries. Mrs. Hildreth was an active member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program that made and provided quilts through the Salvation Army for families that had been displaced from their homes. In addition to quilting she loved to crochet, and cook. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Troy Dee Hildreth and brothers Gene, Durell, and Arnold Fant. Survivors include her two daughters Marquitta Macri (Tony), and Marilyn Pickett (George Marshall Jr.) and one sister Willodean Cox, all of Columbus, Ms. She is also survived by four grandchildren Elizabeth Mistretta (Chris), Gilboa, NY, David Macri (Beth), Mahwah, NJ, Lisa Pickett, San Antonio, TX, and Christina Owen (Shawn), Charleston, SC and 8 great grandchildren The Pallbearers will be David Macri, Roger Dawkins, Jimmy Hildreth, George Marshall, Jr., Eric Ferguson, and Daniel Ferguson
