Marilyn Ruth Swain, age 64, died Sunday, January 06, 2013 at her residence in Aberdeen, MS. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dickey Bryan officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Miss Swain was born on Tuesday, September 28, 1948 in Columbus, to the late George Frank Swain and Margaret Exyah Ellis Swain. She retired after many years as a school teacher and girls' basketball coach. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brother Larry Swain. Survivors include her mother Margaret Swain and her step-father Buck Swain, Starkville, MS; and her three brothers Homer Swain (Mary) and Paul Swain, both of Columbus, MS and Mike Swain, Tuscaloosa, AL.
