Christine B. Williams, age 82, of Columbus died Friday, July 27, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Healthcare Golden Triangle, Columbus. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services, with Rev. Clark Richardson officiating, will follow at 10:00 AM at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Columbus. The daughter of the late Samuel Edward and Lorene Keenum Dodd, Mrs. Williams was born June 10, 1930 in Caledonia. She was a graduate of Caledonia High School, and she retired from Hamilton Garment Plant, Hamilton, MS, where she was a seamstress. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a longtime resident of Vineyard Court Nursing Center. She was the widow of Marvin Williams, who died in 1969. She was also predeceased by her parents, her brothers Eugene and Sam Dodd and her sister Velma Dodd. Mrs. Williams is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Larry and Karen Bond of Columbus and grandsons Christopher Shawn Bond of Shreveport, LA and Trey and Tyler Sides, both of Columbus. Pallbearers will be Ricky Taylor, Trey Sides and Tyler Sides. Honorary pallbearers will be friends at Vineyard Court Nursing Center.
