POLLY BROWNING Pauline Revis Polly Browning age 87 died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Windsor Place Nursing & Rehab Center in Columbus. Services will be held Monday, April 01, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Anne Russell Bradley officiating, visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. She will be entombed at McDowell Memorial Park, Marion, NC on Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Mrs. Browning was born on Wednesday, January 20, 1926 in Sylva, NC to the late Alvin J. and Dora Nations Revis. She attended Evangel Church and First Assembly of God Church in Columbus, MS and was affiliated with First Methodist Church, Columbus, MS. She was a graduate of Asheville-Biltmore College, Asheville, NC in Business, she enjoyed a wide range of employment opportunities, being employed with General Electric at Stennis Space Center, Bay St. Louis, MS for 10 years, Hopple Plastics, Florence, KY for 5 years, and retired as Co-Owner of Collections Ladies Apparel, Columbus, MS where she worked from 1979 - 2000. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and traveling with her late husband of 56 years Jerry Robert Browning. Her favorite past time was following her Grandchildren, and supporting them in all of their activities. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marcie Young, her brothers, Vincent, Roy, and Millard Revis, and her Great Grandson, Ezra Blythe Parker. Survivors include: Two Daughters: Deedee Hurt, Long Beach, MS Fudgie Parker (Bernie), Long Beach, MS Two Sisters: Evelyn Revis (Dewey C.), Marion, NC Laverne Miller (Glenn), Marion, NC One Brother: Harold Revis (Sandra), Marion, NC Five Grandchildren: Shannon Parker Brandon Parker (Amber) Tripp Jefferies John David Hurt (Rachel) Christopher Hurt Three Great Grandchildren: Justus Browning Parker Judah White Parker Caroline Reid Hurt In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church P.O.
