Annie Pearl Ferguson Age 91 died January 23, 2009 at Golden Living Center in Amory, MS Services will be held at Central United Methodist Church on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Prentiss Gordon Jr. Officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be at Central United Methodist Church on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 from 9:00 AM until service time. Mrs. Ferguson was born on November 19, 1917 in Caledonia to the late Zack P. and Molly Betts Goolsby. She was a well-known musician having served as a church organist for sixty-five years, and a pianist for the Columbus Lions Club for fifty years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bannie Will Goolsby, Mabel Pendergrass, Mary Sue Thweatt, and Ottley Will Herron, her brother, Macon and Z.P. Goolsby. She is survived by her husband of 70 years Charles A. Ferguson of Columbus, MS; Daughters Lynda Striepe of Prattville, AL and Jane Clark of Decatur, AL; her sons Bob Ferguson (Charlene) and Richard Ferguson (Jeanne) all of Columbus, MS; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The Pallbearers will be Billy Price,Robert A. Ferguson, Damon Brown, Torrey Collins, Zack Brown and Thomas R. Ferguson.
