Columbus Mississippi - Dessie H. Stapp 81 died March 10, 2006 at Sanctuary Hospice House,Tupelo MS. Mrs. Stapp was born on November 3, 1924 in Tallahatchie County Mississippi to the late Joe and Willie Dean Hugley Hendon. She was a member of The Seventh Street Church of Christ and a homemaker. She was married in 1949 to Jack Stapp and he preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by one son Danny Stapp, one sister Eunice Bowen, and one brother Leon Jordan. She was a loving mother, grandmother,great grandmother, and sister. Funeral services will be Sunday March 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Minister Billy Ferguson Minister Pete Murff officiating. Visitation will be Saturday 6 until 9 at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include Daughters: Jackie Bazzell (William Allen) of Columbus MS, Peggy Booth (John) of Steens MS, Martha Sheperd (Ricky) of Ethelsville AL, Son: Johnny Stapp (Carla) of Columbus MS. 10 Grandchildren: 8 Great Grandchildren: Sister: Betty Baugh (Marvin) of Andersonville, GA. Pallbearers will be Shane Bazzell, Gary Lynn Blackston, Jacob Stapp, Brad Stapp, Cameron Jennings, Chris Chism, and Pete Bowen.
