CHARLES THOMAS QUINN Charles Thomas Quinn, age 89, of Columbus, MS, passed away April 18, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Cemetery with Rev. Tim Williams officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, April 21, 2012, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Quinn was born June 14, 1922, in Etowah County, AL, to the late Thomas A. and Lucy Elizabeth Kemp Quinn. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Air Force. Mr. Quinn worked for many years as a marketing manager for St. Regis Paper Company and was active in Carpenters For Christ. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Orriel Solley Quinn. Survivors include sons, Chuck Quinn and his wife Linda of Butler, AL, Jeff Quinn and his wife Dorcas of Birmingham, AL, and Mike Quinn and his wife Laura of Columbus, MS, daughter, Fran Quinn Elam and her husband Mike of Hartselle, AL, sister, Emma Lou Quinn of Glenco, AL, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 200 Mt. Veron Road, Columbus, MS, 39702.
