Columbus Mississippi - Jessie Lee Harrison Jr., 72, died March 10, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle,Columbus MS. Mr. Harrison was born on November 24, 1933 in Lowndes County to the late Jessie Lee and E.C. Stokes Harrison Sr. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a retired employee of Choctaw Manufacturing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father Shields Herron and one grandchild James Samuel Barksdale Jr. Funeral services will be Monday March 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Gardner officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 6 until 9 at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include Daughters: Dorothy A. Barksdale (Sammy) of Steens MS, Mary Kay Harrison of Columbus MS; Sons: James Harrison (Cynthia) of Columbus MS, Frank Harrison of Columbus MS, Larry Harrison (Marisa) of Columbus MS, Cecil Lavell Harrison of Columbus MS; 16 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Betty Ann Herold of Caledonia MS, Mary Nell Reeves of Columbus MS, Christine Williams of Starkville MS, Shirley Baldwin of Columbus MS, Linda Brook of Mobile AL; Brothers: Johnny Herron of Fayette AL, Cecil Herron of Columbus MS, George Herron of Columbus MS, and former wife Hazel Smet. Pallbearers will be Glenn Herron, Chris Herron, James Lee Harrison Jr., Jeremy Chad Harrison, Wally Willock, and Bobby Barksdale. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Chain, Mark Chain, C.J. Holifield, Josh Traweek, Junior Beard, Lindell Foster, Glenn Baldwin, Mark Baldwin, and George Baldwin.
