AVANELL RUFFIN Arlie Avanell Ruffin age 89 died Monday, June 02, 2014 at Solera at West Houston in Houston TX. Services will be held Friday, June 06, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Liberty Assembly of God Church with Rev. Larry Maddox and Rev. Dan Finney officiating, burial will follow at Andrew's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to service. Mrs. Ruffin was born on Sunday, January 18, 1925 in Pickens County, AL to the late Jessie Manley and Arlie Rae Woolbright McDill. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Houston, TX, and a homemaker. She was a seamstress and quilt maker. She loved her Lord, her church, and her family. She is re-joined with her brother Homer who passed away Monday several hours before her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dwight Ruffin. Survivors include: Two Daughters: Sharon Reagan (Tommie), Katy, TX Carmen Phillips (James), Atlanta, GA One Son: Karl Ruffin (Sandy), Columbus, MS One Brother: Joe McDill (Tina), Waterloo, AL 3 Grandchildren 5 Great Grandchildren The Pallbearers will be: David McDill, Dale McDill, Tommie Reagan, Jimmy Phillips, and John Finney
