Justin, Texas - Nora Carley Vandevender 91 died February 11, 2006 at Longmeadow Healthcare Center in Justin, Texas. Mrs. Vandevender was born on January 12, 1914 in Richton, MS to the late John Thomas Carley and Sena Mary Kemper Carley. She lived in Columbus many years and was employed by Sanderson Plumbing Products (formerly Beneke Corporation) for several years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie Ivy Vandevender. For the last 13 years, she resided in Texas near her daughter. Survivors include her daughter, Vaunda Whitacre, son-in-law, Charles Whitacre, and three grandsons, Jeffrey, Brandon, and Todd Whitacre all of Southlake, Tx. Memorials may be made to the Nora Vandevender Memorial Fund at Countryside Bible church, 250 Countryside Court, Southlake, Tx 76092. Graveside services will be Wednesday February 15, 2006 at 11:00 with Dr. Walt Porter officiating. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
