MACK FUQUA Mack Castleman Fuqua, age 98, of Little Rock, AR, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, January 5, 2013. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Friendship Cemetery with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, January 12, 2013, from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Memorial Funeral Home. Mack was born October 20, 1914, in Monroe County, MS, and was graduated from Mississippi College in 1936. He continued to pursue his education in chemistry at Louisiana State University and received his masters degree in 1940 and his doctorate in chemistry in 1942. After graduation, he went to work for Standard Oil Company (ExxonMobile) for which he worked until his retirement in 1975. Mack's corporate career took him and his family to Australia, Pakistan, and Okinawa. He was proud of his accomplishments in education and business but especially of his family by whom he will be greatly missed. Mack was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carrie Nell Fuqua, and his grandson, Matthew Fuqua. He is survived by his two sons, John D. Fuqua and his wife Dale of Crestview, FL, and David M. Fuqua and his wife Debra, of Little Rock, AR, grandchildren, Kevin Fuqua of Prairieview, LA, Jeanne Landry and her husband Troy of Atlanta, GA, Wade Fuqua and his wife Emily of North Little Rock, AR, and Lauren Kuhlmann and her husband Zak of Benton AR, and great grandchildren, Ashlynn Landry, Camren Landry, Jack Fuqua, Ryan Fuqua, Sydney Fuqua, and Noah Fuqua. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
