Jimmy Kellum Sr. Jimmy Doyle Kellum Sr. age 66 died Friday, October 30, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus. Services will be held Sunday, November 01, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mickey Dalrymple and Rev. Sammy Crawford officiating, burial with military honors will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Jimmy was born on Friday, February 15, 1943 in Longview, MS to the late James L. and Alma Blanton Kellum . He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, a member and past Commander of American Legion Post 69 in Columbus and a current member of American Legion in Jackson, MS. He previously owned 5 Snappy Sacker convenience stores in the Columbus area and presently owned and operated, Kellum Distributors, Audio Werks, and The Bargain Barn. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, working, and his grandchildren. He loved all of his family and enjoyed family reunions. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Virginia Fox, and brothers, Roy, Willie, Marvin Eugene, Richard, James Harold, Charles, and Prentiss Kellum.
