O.E. "Bo" Harper

BO HARPER

Oleus E. "Bo" Harper, Jr., age 89, of Columbus, MS, passed away March
17, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be Friday, March 21,
2014, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Ferguson,
officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery
with military honors. Visitation will be Friday, March 21, 2014 , from 12:30
PM until 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Harper was born February 7, 1925, in Brooksville, MS, to the late
O. E. and Lillian Williamson Harper, Sr. He was a graduate of S. D. Lee
High School where he played on the national championship football team. Mr.
Harper worked as the service manager for Adams Motor Company and VanTrow
Oldsmobile for many years and also served as the corporate pilot for
Logista. He was a member of the Columbus Church of Christ and in addition
to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Wynelle Goodman
Harper, and second wife, Marcelle Mobley Harper.
Survivors include his sons, Ronald E. Harper and his wife Nancy of
Columbus, MS, and Tim W. Harper and his wife Cindy of Birmingham, AL,
brothers, Don Harper of Columbus, MS, William "Buddy" Harper of Columbus,
MS, and Jack Harper of FL, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Drayton Williams, Lance Moore, David Finnegan,
Hudson Harper, Thad Gilder, and Mike Lowery.
