LONNIE BUXTON Lonnie Wayne Buxton age 84 went to be with his Lord, Monday, September 10, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Columbus. Services will be held Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Albert Wilkerson and Rev. James Black officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Mr. Buxton was born September 28, 1927 in Sikes, LA to the late Silas and Georgia Mosley Buxton. He was a member of East End Baptist Church, and the Masonic Lodge. He was the retired owner/operator of L.W. Buxton & Son Mechanical Contractors. Mr. Buxton loved to hunt, fish, plant trees, and anything that involved being outdoors, but most of all, he loved his family and his family loved him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tharon and A.V. Buxton.
