Buxton Thorne Williams, Jr., 62, passed away September 30, 2009 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, where he was employed. Visitation will be Friday, October 9, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM, followed afterward by graveside services at Friendship Cemetery. Buxton was born March 13, 1947 in Columbus to the late Buxton Thorne Williams, Sr. and Virginia Fraser Williams. He is survived by his son Thomas Paul Williams of Picayune, his mother Virginia Fraser Williams of Durant and sisters Ginger Williams Hite of Jackson and Lillian Ann Williams of El Cerrito, California. Pallbearers will be Buxton's cousin, Berkley Hudson of Columbia, Missouri, and longtime, dear friends Jimmy Simmons, Leon Ellis and Arlo Smith, all of Columbus, Cliff Tyler of Marietta,Georgia; and Chuck Odom of Jackson, Ms.
