Pearl Barrow Columbus Mississippi - Pearl Barrow 84 died December 12, 2005 at her residence in Columbus. Mrs. Barrow was born on September 25, 1921 in Georgia to the late George Marcus and Alvira Glisson Hightower. She was a member of the Baptist Faith and a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years Ellis P. Barrow, her son Rupert Preston Barrow, her sister Georgia Angone, and her brothers Gus, Clarence, and Julian Hightower. Funeral services will be Thursday December 15, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. from Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Sanderson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 until 8 at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include her Grandchildren: Christy B. Pitts (Jerry) of Columbus and Richard Preston Barrow of Alabama, Great Grandchildren: Haley, Brock, and Brittany. Sisters: Dona Jackson (J.W.) of Savanah GA, Martha Odum (Alex) of Georgia and sister-in-law Rachel Hightower of Huntsville AL. Brother: Charles Hightower (Dee) of Rome GA. Pallbearers will be Michael Jackson, Greg Jackson, James Jackson, Mark Hightower, Willis Bonner, Jordan Baldridge. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Jackson, Richard Bonner.
