GEORGE BUCHANAN George Ray Buchanan age 81 died Friday, June 20, 2014 at his residence in Mantee MS. Services will be held Monday, June 23, 2014 at 9:30 AM at Hohenlinden Baptist Church in Mantee, with Rev. Fred Hartley officiating, visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church. Graveside services will be held Monday at 4:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Blytheville, AR. Mr. Buchanan was born on Tuesday, August 30, 1932 in Blytheville, AR to the late Charles and Rachel Seymour Buchanan. He was a member of Hohenlinden Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a retired convenience store manager, a people person, and an avid outdoorsman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Steven Dale Buchanan. Survivors include: Three Sons: Alan Ray Buchanan (Vicki), Des Moines, IA David Wayne Buchanan, Mantee, MS Michael Neal Buchanan, Sanford, NC Two Brothers: James Buchanan (Alberta), Fenton, MO Donald Buchanan (Freda), Festus, MO 5 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren The Pallbearers will be: Alan Buchanan, David Buchanan, Michael Buchanan, James Buchanan, John Hood, and Marvin McIntyre The Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bobby Hood, and Ron Ross
