Wallace Brooks Pearson, Age 61, died Friday October 3, 2008 at his residence in Steens, MS. Services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Walter Butler Officiating . Burial with military honors will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, October 4, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM . Mr. Pearson was born on April 25, 1947 in Columbus to the late Edward Alexander Pearson and Dorothy Sanders Ipock. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired carpenter for Cherokee Construction. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brothers Robert Edward Pearson, and James Sanders Pearson. He is survived by his wife Bonnie B. Pearson of Steens, MS, mother Dorothy Sanders Ipock of Columbus, MS, daughter Kristi Knight (Chris) of Steens, MS, sons Kevin Payne and Kenny Payne , both of Steens, MS, sisters Juanita McGahey of Leeds, AL, Linda Kay Glasgow of Caledonia, MS, Sharon Price of Vernon, AL, and Anne Shepherd of Roswell, GA, brothers Donald Edward Pearson of Augusta, GA and Charles Daniel Pearson of Cedar Bluff, MS. He is also survived by his grandchildren Tyler and Mallory Knight, and Jordan, Victoria and Skylar Payne. The Pallbearers will be Charles Pearson, Jr.,Keath Pearson Rusty Reynolds, Lynn Bigham, Danny Kirkley and Heath Pearson. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Wade Howard and Dave Guild.
