Pearson Hemphill Harold Pearson Hemphill, 63, died April 22, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus. Graveside services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Memorial Gardens with Dick Webster officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-2:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Hemphill was born Aug. 28, 1943, in Mashulaville to the late Herbert W. and Edna Sullivan Hemphill. He was a longtime mechanic for Greenline Equipment Co. and retired from Cash Distributing Co. He is survived by his wife, Neomi K. Hemphill of Columbus; daughter, Valerie Newman of Caledonia; son, Frank Kyzer of Columbus; sisters, Neva Roy of Houston, Fla., and Wallene Lease, Dean Conn and Faye Hughes, all of Ethelsville, Ala.; brothers, Derrill and Sherrill Hemphill, both of Columbus; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be P.J. Hughes, Jeff Conn, Frank Kyzer, Clanton Johnson, Robert Underwood, Tommy Orr, Jimmy Hemphill, and O.T. Moore.
