Columbus Mississippi - Ethel White 89 died July 24, 2005 at Trinity Healthcare,Columbus MS. Mrs. White was born on July 7, 1916 in Egypt Mississippi to the late Max and Emma McGhee Peterson. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and a U.S. Navy Veteran having served during WWII. She lived in Memphis for many years and worked for Murdock Printing Co. After returning to Lowndes County she was the Artesia City Clerk for 10 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arch White. Funeral services will be Tuesday July 26, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Chris Young officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include: Nephew and Niece- Frank and Janelle Hair of Ten Mile TN, Great Nephews- Le Hair of Loganville GA, and Max Hair of Cochran GA.
