Robin Dale Wilson age 45 died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at his residence in Atlanta GA after a lengthy illness. Services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Moore officiating. Burial follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Robin was born on Monday, May 25, 1964 in Columbus, to the Robbie C. and Janina Rye Wilson. He was a graduate of Caldwell High School and a 1991 graduate of Mississippi University for Women with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts. At MUW he was active in the music and theatre departments. He was active in the Columbus Community Theatre and worked several years in the Goodspeed Opera House in Connecticut. Since moving to Atlanta, he has been active with the Armorettes Theatre Group. While he was in Columbus he worked as department manager at Sears and later at McRaes. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Troy and Jettie Wilson and Bradley and Ellen Rye. He had a lifelong love of music and played piano at Friendship Baptist Church and Bethel Baptist Church. He is a member of Friendship Baptist Church Columbus, MS. Survivors include: His parents: Robbie C. and Janina Rye Wilson, Columbus, MS His sister: Susie Simpson (Keith) of Columbus, MS His nephew: Rick Leverette II And many friends and relatives. Robin had a sweet nature and was loved by all who knew him. The Pallbearers will be: Rick Leverette, II, Keith Simpson, Rick Gilmore, Jonathan Lindsay, Brian Lindsay, Mike Hanson The Honorary Pallbearers will be: June Willis, Andrew Farington, Jay Mealor, and a host of Friends in Atlanta
