Dorothy P. Lockhart age 92 died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle. Services will be held Friday, January 27, 2012 at 3:30 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pete Bowen and Larry Montgomery officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday January 26, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. Mrs. Lockhart was born on Thursday, May 03, 1919 in to the late Jack Daniel and Sarah Annie Dowdle Pennington. She was a member of Steens Church of Christ, and the ladies Bible class. She was a retired receptionist at Golden Triangle Regional Medical Center, and a member of the Steens Civic Club. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arville Gray Lockhart and her sisters, Sarah Frances Shamblin, Floy Pennington, and Loventrice Johnson. Survivors include: One Daughter: Patsy McDaniel (Frank), Columbus, MS Three Sons: Bill Lockhart (Bertha), Columbus, MS Frank Lockhart (Anita), Columbus, MS Paul Lockhart (Pam), Columbus, MS Five Grandchildren: Ronnie McDaniel (Lisa) Holly Church (Jeff) Randy Lockhart (Cindy) Rusty Lockhart (Tammi) David Lockhart (Lisa) Eleven Great Grand Children: Sarah McDaniel Victoria McDaniel Andrew Lockhart Austin Lockhart Connor Church Will Lockhart Seth Lockhart Carson Church Dean Luke Lockhart Jake Lockhart Cate Lockhart The Pallbearers will be: Walter Dodson, Don Gilmer, Shan Higdon, Barney Conn, Harold Speed, Owen Odom, Jr., Jeff Church, and Gordy Koenigsberger The Honorary Pallbearers will be: Phillip Shamblin, John Gilmore, Louis Conn, Ted Conn, Jerry Green, Lee Younger, Curtis Younger, Will Odom, Howard Odom, Jerry Morrison, Jamie Reeves, Charles Bolton, Sonny Porter, Men of Steens Church of Christ And her special friends, Mary Vaughn, Wanda Ray, Elaine Croft, Sharon Cook, and Sonya Reeves
