Mrs. Martha Ann Reaves Roberts, age 75, died Friday, July 2, 2010 at her home in Columbus. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, with Dr. Ed Knox officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Mrs. Roberts will be buried in Tippah Memorial Gardens, Ripley, MS at 4:30 PM. The daughter of the late Flautt and Ruby Sanford Reaves, Mrs. Roberts was born January 16, 1935 in Blue Mountain, MS. She retired in 1994 from the Columbus Separate School District as cafeteria manager at Hughes Elementary. An active member of Antioch Baptist Church, Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School class. She served as the church fellowship hostess for many years and also helped with Vacation Bible School. She was an eighteen (18) year member of the YMCA Water Aerobics Program. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Clyde P. Roberts, who died in 1993, and a brother Victor Reaves. She is survived by her two daughters Patsy Winklepleck and son-in-law Gary, Ethelsville, AL, Cathy Yeoman and son-in-law Scott, Pontotoc, MS, brother and sister-in - law Hollis and Jewelean Reaves, Springfield, TN and sister-in-law Betty Reaves, Ripley, MS. She is also survived by her grandchildren Chris and Allison Winklepleck, Robert and Stacie Winklepleck, Kaitlyn Yeoman and Andrew Yeoman , a great grandchild Hannah Winklepleck, as well as special friends Wanda Murfree, Charlie and Katrina Upton, Bonnie and Marilyn Reaves and Burl Wood and family. Pallbearers will be Scott and Andrew Yeoman, Gary, Robert and Chris Winklepleck, Bonnie Reaves and Charlie Upton. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Antioch Baptist Church and the 6:15 AM YMCA Water Aerobics Class.
