JOYCE MONTBRIAND - Joyce Walters Montbriand, age 84, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Caledonia, MS, passed away November 16, 2012, at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Graveside services will be Thursday, November 29, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS, with Rev. Tony Proctor officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 28, 2012, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Montbriand was born August 8, 1928, in Caledonia, MS, to the late Cully Winston and Myrtle Rye Walters. She worked for many years as a registered nurse, housewife, golf teaching pro, and real estate agent. Mrs. Montbriand was a member of the Ladies Professional Golf Association and Daughters of the American Revolution. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Montbriand, and daughter, Joy Diane Bongaard. Mrs. Montbriand is survived by her son, Jim Bongaard of Charlotte, NC. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
