JOSH NOPE - Joshua Darrell "Josh" Nope, age 22, of Columbus, MS, passed away October 3, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at 1100 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Ty Reed officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 5, 2010, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Josh was born July 27, 1988, in Colorado Springs, CO, to Darrell W. and Suzanna Rickard Nope of Columbus, MS. He was a graduate of Cornerstone Christian School and was a member of Boy Scouts where he had obtained the rank of Life Scout. Josh was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed disk golf, skateboarding, football, basketball, hiking and camping, playing the guitar, writing music and poetry, and spending time with friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold A. and Jewell Bishop Rickard. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, David Baird of Albuquerque, NM, and Ryan Nope of Columbus, MS, sisters, Elizabeth Baird Johnson of Clovis, NM, and Siobhan Nope of Columbus, MS, paternal grandparents, Lt. Col. Retired Darrell A. and Jeannine Nope of Baton Rouge, LA, niece, Addisyn Johnson, brother-in-law, Lawrence Johnson, and girlfriend, Crystal Patteson. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
