George Woodard Burchfield age 90 died Saturday, October 03, 2009 at North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette AL. Services will be held Thursday, October 08, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Victory Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Al Hamm officiating, burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Doty Springs Cemetery in Attala County, MS . Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home Wednesday, October 07, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Mr. Burchfield was born on Friday, June 13, 1919 in Winston County, MS to the late Luther and Rosie Lee Keen Burchfield. For many years he was a member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran. After graduating from Hinds Junior College, he worked for the Office Supply Company in Columbus from 1957 til 1981 repairing office equipment. He loved to hunt and run his beagles. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Hazel Nell Hunter Burchfield. Survivors include: Two Daughters: Ginger B. Levins, Bay Minette, AL Beverly B. Cash (Phillip), Pensacola, FL Five Grandchildren: Vicki Chamberlain Tracey Levins Eric Levins Tiffany Cash Aaron Cash 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a niece and nephew, all of whom he loved very much.
