Rosell Cyprian, age 73, of Caledonia, MS, died Monday, June 16, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS. Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 18, 2008. The funeral service will be in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 19, 2008, with Rev. Don Harding officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Columbus, MS. The daughter of the late Will Freeman and Ada Bellflower Grimsley, Mrs. Cyprian was born June 20, 1934 in Cochran, Ga. A resident of Lowndes County since 1977, she was a past president of the NCO Wives club at Columbus Air Force Base and was a volunteer at the Thrift Shop on base. She and her husband, who is retired from the Air Force, lived in the Phillipines and at bases in Michigan, South Carolina and Georgia., prior to his assignment at CAFB. Raising five sons and caring for her pets , in addition to her duties as the wife of a NCO, were her full-time vocations in life. She was also a member of the Seniors Bowling League at the Columbus Lanes. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cyprian was preceded in death by brothers Bill and Skeet Grimsley, and sisters Elloree Gibson, Runell Hall, who was her identical twin, Betty Lapolla and Ada Bellflower. She is survived by her husband Peter Cyprian, Jr., Caledonia, MS, sons David Cyprian (Denise) of Summerville, S.C., Joe McDaniel of Estill, S.C., Pete Cyprian (Nancy) of Hampton, GA, Allen Cyprian (Tami) of Columbia, MS. and Timothy Cyprian (Deborah) of Caledonia, MS. ,brothers, Mayo Grimsley of Fitzgerald, GA and Walter Grimsley of Centerville, GA., twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Doug Toms, Tully Hall, Joshua Cyprian, Jonathan Cyprian, Caleb Cyprian and Lee Fulller. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Cyprian's name to the American Cancer Society, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, MS 39213.
