BUD FRYE Denver Jackson "Bud" Frye age 89 died Sunday, August 29, 2010 at his residence in Columbus. Graveside services with military honors, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday September 1, 2010 at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Hamilton, MS with The Very Reverend James Carlyle officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday August 31, 2010 from until 6 til 8 at Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Frye was born on Tuesday, August 31, 1920 in Hamilton, AL to the late Monroe Benson and Bessie McGee Frye. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in WWII with Company B 283 1st Engineer Combat Battalion. He was honorable discharged in 1945 for his honest and faithful service. Bud loved his country and flew an American Flag with pride until the day he died. He loved his family and was a devoted father. The example he set for his family and those around him is on to be admired. He will be strongly missed. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Bennie Frye, grandson Jonathan Frye, sister, Lois Pat Cox, and brothers Earnest, Roy, and Coy Frye.
