HUBERT BUCHANAN Hubert Buchanan age 87 died Monday, March 28, 2011 at his residence in Crawford MS. Services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Crawford United Methodist Church with Rev. Buddy Carroll officiating, burial will follow at Oak Limb Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to service. Mr. Buchanan was born on Sunday, October 07, 1923 in Greenwood Springs, MS to the late Raymond and Ola Buchanan. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served his country during WWII. He was a career farmer, a loving father of seven children, and a member of Crawford United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years Annie Merle Buchanan, his brothers: Whit, Ed, Tommy, and Gilbert Buchanan, and his sisters Helen Russell and Mary Lou Earnest. He is survived by his children, Betty Brownlee (Bill), Columbus, MS, Hubert Buchanan (Brenda), Caledonia, MS, Shirley Taylor, Caledonia, MS, Brenda Gentry (Charles), Crawford, MS, Doug Buchanan (Donna), Crawford, MS, Jerry Buchanan (Teresa), Crawford, MS, Sissy Permenter (Roger), Macon, MS One Sister: Nora Vernon, West Point, MS One Brother: Rubert Buchanan, Meridian, MS 16 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild. His Grandsons, Bubba Buchanan, Kelsey Taylor, Arl Taylor, Josh Gentry, Brad Permenter, Alan Gordman, Jason Thomas, and Rodney Buchanan will serve as pallbearers.
